Among the hundreds of books displayed in Andalan, a pop up bookstore held on 8 – 24 September 2016, there is an magical magnet which attracted parents and children. Yes, right! The corner of pop up books, belongs to Impian Studio. This corner particularly displays pop-up books works of Hafez Achda were sold out before the Andalan Books even end. Amazingly Impian Studio is not only sell their ready-made, but also showcased the steps to create a pop-up book. The working process of Hafez also showed openly on the small table at this corner. A fruitful addition by Hafez! He also made a pop up workshop for beginners.
Impian Studio is based in Yogyakarta, was founded by a couple Hafez Achda and Sulistyowati. Initially Impian Studio only do pop up based on the project, but eventually they were tired of working on orders another person / company. Eventually they make their own work. But once it turns pop up work has not got a place among publishers, so they both decided to publish it themselves under the banner of Impian Publishing. The first issue in 2015 with a circulation of 500 ex, sold 200 ex, the rest sold very slowly and accumulate. Learning from that experience, they set a strategy to develop the design and how to market it. And they share the task, Hafez focus on design and Lis parts of managerial and marketing.
