“Re-Plating Mooi Indie”

Foreword
The digital image created by this artist is an appropriation of the artworks of Mooi Indie made by Indonesian painters or foreign painters who had lived in Indonesia. These artworks are made by arranging vegetables and other food items. Arranged and made as closely as possible with the paintings of Mooi Indie paintings that try to imitate. At a glance we see similarities; cabbage into a banyan tree, celery into a coconut tree in the wind, rice into a stream and so on. Material selection is based on possible color similarity and ease of formation.
