This collaboration project is between artists and hawkers of Yogyakarta northern square in expressing their daily life into the form of visual and audio art.

At Jogja palace complex, especially at the north and south sides of Yogyakarta Northern Square, there are a lot of people work as hawkers to support their live. They are sort of “opportunists” people, who try to take the economical advantage of the palace as one of tourism site. There are some sellers who settled, and some others are shifting places. There is also one complex in a row of one descendant. We call it “one great-grandparent merchants”. They grew with small asset until they able to build shop-pole at the edge of northern square. Some are legal and some others are not.  They create a culture by their own rules. They create the unwritten system, and watch-over it. They try to keep their own small world to maintain the life.
